Today we had our Terry Fox walk at school. As a school, we raised over $3,400 for the Terry Fox Foundation! Great job everyone! Thank you for those of us who bought t-shirts and donated loonies for the foundation. This week, we learned all about Terry Fox and his significance to Canada. We learned how Terry was determined to raise money for cancer research and is a true hero. He cared deeply for other people and wanted to help. We talked about every day heroes...people like police officers, firefighters, and doctors all help people every day. But we also have people in our lives who are heroes too!
